Description

5-disc set containing all 26 animated "Devilman Lady" episodes. The series is based on the manga serial by the legendary anime/manga creator, Go Nagai ("Mazinger," "Getter Robo"). Unlike the original manga in which the heroine Jun Fudo was a teacher, the anime features her as an introspective fashion model. Harder-edged than the original manga (which sounds rare but sometimes happens in animes) Ran Asuka is no longer a collaborative partner of Jun's but she's given a more commanding presence as her "employer," and the original Devilman Akira Fudo does not make his appearance in the series. Go Nagai himself spoke highly of the show at the test screening of the first episode. The 5-disc set contains all 26 episodes, and comes housed in a deluxe box.

深夜枠にて放映された禁断のTVアニメが遂にDVD化!「週刊モーニング」で連載されていた永井豪原作の同名作品のテレビアニメ版。このアニメ版では、主人公、不動ジュンが活発な女教師から内向的なファッションモデルに変更される等、ストーリーも設定も原作とはかなり違った内容となっているが、第1回の試写会の後、原作者である永井豪は、この傑作を大絶賛したという作品。TV放映全26話をDVD5枚に収録。
