Tenkaku Minshuku

[Machine Translation] MIZ's first album in about four years was recorded at a guest house in Jouhin, located in the northeastern tip of Taitung, Taiwan. Surrounded by the sea and mountains and inhabited by aborigines, MIZ's new album was recorded in an exotic location, bathed in sunlight and blessed with nature, and brimming with a sense of warmth and life. In addition to singles such as "Beaver" and "Hill," the album also includes M5 " feat...Ami Tseng" featuring Ami Tseng, vocalist of the popular Taiwanese indie band "DSPS" and a close friend of MIZ. The artist photo, booklet, and music video were shot by Taiwanese video director Min-Hsiu Chu, and the collaboration with local creators is also attracting attention. For "Sundance Ranch" to be released in 2022, MIZ traveled to Hokkaido in a campervan and recorded sound and images in various places. This work, too, is filled with MIZ's originality and charm.

MIZ約4年ぶりのアルバムとなる今作は、台湾の台東地区北東端に位置する長浜 (ちょうひん)の民宿でレコーディングが行われた。海と山に囲まれ原住民族が暮らす異国の地で録音されたMIZの新作は、太陽の光に照らされ、自然に恵まれた、暖かさと生活感に溢れる作品となっている。「ビーバー」、「丘」といったシングル曲に加えて、MIZと親交も深い台湾の人気インディーバンド"DSPS"のボーカルAmi Tsengが参加したM5「轉角feat..Ami Tseng」を収録。またアーティスト写真、ブックレット、ミュージックビデオは台湾人映像監督のMin-Hsiu Chuが帯同し撮影するなど、現地のクリエイターたちとのコラボレーションにも注目が集まる。2020年リリースの1st Album『Ninh Binh Brother's Homestay』はベトナムでフィールドレコーディングを行い、2022年リリースの『Sundance Ranch』は北海道までキャンピングカーで旅をしながら、各地で音と映像を記録してきた。今作もMIZのオリジナリティと魅力が十分に詰まった作品となっている。
