東京セレソンデラックスの名作『ぴえろ』が古田新太ドラマ初主演で衝撃のドラマ化! 作者である宅間孝行自らが再構築し、連続ドラマ用に改めて書き下ろす上に、チーフ監督として演出も担当! 舞台『ぴえろ』では描かれなかったエピソードを織り込みながら、下町・蔵前のすし屋で繰り広げられる人情味あふれるコメディーを1話で1日のストーリーとして展開! ――6月13日に日付が変わった頃、雷鳴が鳴り響く中、コソ泥の沢木裕次郎 (古田新太)とその舎弟、ヤスこと川村靖 (中丸雄一)は 蔵前にある寿司屋・寿司政に忍び込む。島倉千代子の「愛のさざなみ」を鼻歌で口ずさみながらの沢木と対照的に ビビりながら店内を進むヤス。無益な盗みはしないというポリシーを持つ沢木はレジなどには目もくれず、お目当ての風鈴を探し回る。台所から店内を抜けて個室へ向かったその時に沢木は藤原源太 (大河内浩)に出くわし、後ろから殴られ卒倒する。沢木の声を聞きつけ後を追うように個室に入ったヤスも源太に頭を殴られ気絶してしまう。その日の午後、寿司政の次女、大友春子 (佐藤めぐみ)はくす玉を作っていた。そのくす玉を持ち長女、秋子 (戸田菜穂)の部屋を訪れるが、秋子はあまり元気がない・・・。 ブックレット封入。
