Harukaze Freedom

[Machine Translation] The 4th single by Kiyotaka Sugimoto, formerly known as orangenoise shortcut (read: Orange Noise Shortcut), who has been working energetically to celebrate the 20th anniversary of his CD debut in 2024, is now available in the retro Heisei era's much talked about tanzaku CD package. The new single "Harukaze FREEDOM" is a modern take on 80's techno-pop, "Highway star chaser" is a fast-moving number that was performed live, and "Kimi no Kotoba ni" is a ballad with sad lyrics sung in a gentle voice. The latter two songs were previously released as demo recordings, but this is the first time they have been officially released as studio recordings. The recording features Norimasa Nagata on bass, Koji Yamada on drums, and Keiko Tanaka on chorus. The album was mixed by Seiki Sato of Microstar, and mastered by Machiko Suzue, a veteran engineer who has worked with Flipper's Guitar and many other domestic and international artists. This is a commemorative work for the 37th anniversary of the birth of Tanzaku CD.

2024年CDデビュー20周年を迎えますます精力的に活動している元orangenoise shortcut (読み: オレンジノイズ・ショートカット)杉本清隆の4thシングルを平成レトロで話題となっている短冊CDパッケージで発売。80年代テクノポップを現代風に落とし込んだ新曲「春風FREEDOM」、ライブで披露されていた疾走感あふれるナンバーの「Highway star chaser」、そして切ない歌詞をしっとりと歌い上げたバラード「君の言葉に」の3曲を音源化。後者2曲は以前デモ音源として発表されてはいたものの、正式なスタジオ・レコーディング作品としては今回が初のリリースとなる。レコーディングにはライヴでもお馴染みベースの永田範正、ドラムの山田幸治やコーラスで田中景子も参加している。ミックスはマイクロスターの佐藤清喜、マスタリングはフリッパーズ・ギターをはじめ国内外の様々な作品を手がけてきたベテランエンジニアの鈴江真智子が手がけた。短冊CD生誕37周年記念作品。
