Grandfathers

[Machine Translation] The legendary Grandfathers, a band consisting of Yoichi Aoyama, Tetsuya Nishimura, and Yuzuru Ota, released a new album with the original lineup for the first time in 21 years since "BBB" in 1991. The freshness that pervades the entire album is wonderful, and it's a very poignant revival work! In addition to the three original members, Aoyama, Nishimura, and Ota, Fuminao Natsuaki (ds) and Yuichi Tanaya (key), who supported the late GF's, join the band. The album was mixed by Osamu Toba, and the jacket design was done by Hideaki Suzuki, the drummer of the early GF's, who also designed the two albums at that time. Two songs, "Help My Soul," which was the signature song of the early GF's live performances, and "Osara no Nocturne," which was often performed at their shows around 1990, are included on this long-awaited album for the first time. The album also includes 10 songs in total, including songs written by Nishimura for this album and songs written by Aoyama for the 2008 reunion show.

青山陽一、西村哲也、大田譲による伝説のバンド、グランドファーザーズ、1991年の『BBB』以来じつに21年ぶりとなるオリジナル・ラインナップによるニュー・アルバムをリリース! 全編に漂う瑞々しさもすばらしい、なんとも痛快な復活作! 青山、西村、大田のオリジナル・メンバー3人に加え、後期GF's のサポートを務めていた夏秋文尚(ds)、棚谷祐一(key)らが参加。ミックスは鳥羽修、ジャケット・デザインは当時の2枚のアルバムも手がけている初期GF's ドラマーの鈴木秀明。初期GF's のライヴの看板曲だった「Help My Soul」と、1990年頃のライヴでたびたび披露されていた「オサラのノクターン」の2曲は待望の初作品化。その他、西村が今回のアルバム用に書き下ろした楽曲や、青山が2008年の再結成ライヴ用に書き下ろした楽曲等、全10曲を収録。
