人間の邪心に取り憑く魔獣"ホラー"と、それを殲滅する使命を帯びた"魔戒騎士"たちとの暗闘を描くアクションドラマ『牙狼＜GARO＞』シリーズ。冴島家の直系であり、優しさと強さを兼ね備える最強の黄金騎士・冴島雷牙を主人公に迎えた「牙狼＜GARO＞-魔戒ノ花-」(2014年TV放送)以来となる、冴島雷牙シリーズ待望の続編。不思議な列車を舞台に、受け継ぎし絆と本当の強さが試される―。原作・脚本・監督は、『牙狼＜GARO＞』シリーズの生みの親であり、唯一無二の世界観で世界中にファンを持つ鬼才・雨宮慶太。アクション監督には、シリーズを支え続けてきた横山誠が担当する。主人公・冴島雷牙を演じるのは中山麻聖。「魔戒ノ花」に引き続き、石橋菜津美、水石亜飛夢、螢雪次朗が再集結。さらに白孔役で松田悟志が出演。そして、ファンが待ち望んだ小西遼生、渡辺裕之、京本政樹がついに牙狼ワールドへの帰還を果たす! ――漆黒の闇を目覚めさせたのは、希望の光の声──守りし者として日々ホラー狩りをする魔戒騎士・冴島雷牙(さえじまらいが)。親から子へと受け継がれる黄金騎士であることに対する使命と重圧、そして父がいつまでも戻らないことに対する葛藤を心に抱えていた。一方、人の力になりたいと願うマユリは雷牙の元で日々花を育てる。静かな日常を送る2人であったが、ある満月の夜、2人の前に白き仮面の男・白孔(しろく)が現れる。「俺はお前のすべてを知っている」。不敵な笑みを浮かべる白孔の剣が雷牙を襲う。白孔の術によって夜の闇を彷徨うマユリ。マユリを追って雷牙は不思議な列車に乗りこむが、列車の汽笛が夜の闇を切り裂き、漆黒の闇から邪気が漂い始め・・・。
