必殺シリーズの復活から10年周年! 東山紀之・松岡昌宏らが新仕事人として登場し、藤田まことと共に劇的復活を果たしたのが『必殺仕事人2007』であった。以来、数々の強敵を迎えながら着実にシリーズを重ね、『必殺仕事人2014』からは知念侑李演じるリュウ、『必殺仕事人2015』では遠藤憲一扮する瓦屋の陣八郎も加わった。そして、ついに復活から10周年を迎え、キャスト&スタッフが一丸となって最新作を世に送り出す! 今回の物語は、仕事人に「晴らせぬ恨みを晴らす」ことを託したはずの依頼人が自ら悪人を殺すという謎の事件で幕を開ける。一方、依頼人に顔を見られたリュウは行方知れずに。さらに、江戸の町では爆弾を用いた自爆事件が立て続けに発生する。混乱の背後に潜む黒幕は、謎の男・壬生の幻楼(奥田瑛二)だった!
