The three ex-boyfriends, who were decided after the script was completed, were exquisitely cast: Lee Hyun-woo as a seminary student, Kim Soo-ro in his first attempt at a love scene, and Gong Yoo in his charming and scary performance as a younger man. The film was screened in the Winds of Asia-Middle East section at the 17th Tokyo International Film Festival in 2004. On the first anniversary of their relationship, Jin-hee is asked by Jang, the fourth lover in her life, to break up with him. Jin-hee is confused and asks Jang, "Have you ever been truly loved? Ask your ex-boyfriend! She asks her ex-boyfriend if he's ever loved her. Jin-hee flips through her love diary and thinks back to the days she spent with her ex-boyfriends. Her first love was when she was in high school. She fell in love with Koo-hyun, a choir leader at her church, and experienced her first kiss. Next was Jung-suk, a senior in college, who was fun and flirtatious. Her love affair with Yoo-in, a younger boy who was a skilled illustrator, was very intense....
