「レインマン」でアカデミー賞脚本賞を受賞したロナルド・バスが贈る、アスペルガー症候群の二人の恋物語。監督は、本作でアメリカ映画界に進出を果たしたノルウェー人監督のピーター・ネス。主演は「ラッキーナンバー7」「ブラック・ダリア」のジョシュ・ハートネットと「サイレント・ヒル」「ネバーランド」のラダ・ミッチェル。この作品は「レインマン」を見た事がきっかけで自らの障害に気付いた、ジェリー・ニューポートの実話が元になっている。――一見普通の若者だが、アスペルガー症候群(自閉症の一種)という障害を抱え平穏な日常生活を営むことが出来ずにいたドナルド。しかし同じような障害を持つ仲間達と集会を開き、少しでも環境に適応できる力を身につけようと努力していた。そこに新メンバーとして美容師のイザベルが参加。思ったことを率直に語り、奔放に振舞いながらも自分と共通の悩みを抱える彼女にドナルドはたちまち魅了され恋に落ちる。一方イザベルも誠実で真っ直ぐなドナルドを愛していく。しかし、普通でありたいと願うドナルドと普通でない自分を過剰に意識するイザベルは、ともに求め合いながらも傷つけ合ってしまうのだった・・・。
