真実の物語が今50年の歳月を経て甦る、度重なる困難にも決して男たちはあきらめなかった、黒部の太陽を見るまでは・・・。 撮影日数約4ヶ月、香取慎吾主演、最高のスタッフ・キャストで贈る感動の人間ドラマ! 昭和31年、深刻なエネルギー不足に悩まされていた日本を救うため、関西電力は日本最大規模の黒部川第四発電所の建設を決断。その工事は7年の歳月を要し、昭和38年に完成に至った。ドラマ『黒部の太陽』は、黒部川第四発電所建設の中でも最大の難工事と言われた、大町トンネル掘削工事に焦点を当て、艱難辛苦の末トンネル貫通に至る様を描き出している。木本正次氏の原作に描かれている、工事に関わった人たちの熱く感動的な人間ドラマをより原作に忠実に、より重層的に描こうというものである。登場人物一人一人も原作に忠実に描かれ、今まで見たことのない「黒部の太陽」が誕生することとなる。この熱い魂のぶつかり合いをリードしていく、トンネル工事の最前線で奮闘する工夫たちの若きリーダー、熊谷組倉松班親方、倉松仁志を演じるのが、香取慎吾。破砕帯と真っ向から向き合い、危険と隣り合わせの中、勇敢に立ち向かう様を描く。さらに香取演じる倉松と共にトンネル貫通を目指す関西電力の滝山薫平役を小林薫が演じる。静かなたたずまいの中に熱い心を持つ滝山と、倉松親方を中心に汗と涙の熱い魂のぶつかりあい、人と人との深い絆を描き出す。 特典ディスクにメイキング (前・後編)、クランクアップ集、予告集、実景集を収録予定。
