This is a very interesting film and a historically accurate rendition of the period. The costumes for the Mayans were great, and it was a colourful story with spectular fighting scenes. It also has the charisma of George Chakaris, and of the screen presence of Yul Brunner. The struggle for civilisation, the clash of cultures, all vividly portrayed. It was one of the most special works of Brunner.
