Detective Conan: Episode "ZERO" Kudo Shinichi Suizokukan Jiken

The one-hour program "Episode 'ZERO': The Shinichi Kudo Aquarium Case," broadcast on January 3, 2026 to mark the opening of the 30th anniversary of the TV anime, is released on Blu-ray! This special depicts the moment "just before" Shinichi Kudo is turned into Conan Edogawa by APTX4869, the poison of the Black Organization, and in the chronology of the main Conan story it is set even before Episode 1 of the anime. Just before he becomes "Conan Edogawa" through the Black Organization's drug -- Shinichi and Ran, not yet a couple, were visiting Beika Aquarium to scout out the "Aquarium Surprise Reunion Lovey-Dovey Revival Grand Operation" to reconcile Ran's separated parents, Kogoro Mouri and Eri Kisaki. But their fun time was short-lived: Shinichi senses an incident from the strange atmosphere drifting beyond a crowd of people. Catching the smell of blood and heading to the scene, he finds the body of a man stabbed in the heart in front of a tank. The weapon is a knife that had popped out of a convenience-store bag, and there is a stun-gun mark on the nape of the neck. Beginning the investigation together with Inspector Megure, who arrives at the scene, Shinichi uses a mobile phone to narrow the suspects down to three. The deductive drama of the scarlet high-school detective begins. And beyond the case lies "another scouting trip" that connects to that day (= the day he becomes Conan). Comes in a slipcase.
