With the recent release of their biographical film "Pavements," the band has been the subject of much fanfare, and now they have released the soundtrack to the film on Matador Records. Edited by producer/editor Robert Greene and the band, the soundtrack features various elements from the film: snippets of dialogue, scenes from the Academy Award-winning fake biopic "Range Life," cast recordings from the jukebox musical "Slanted! Enchanted!" as well as live and rehearsal material from the 2021 reunion tour. The full band performance was mixed by Bryce Goggin, the man behind such Pavement classics as Crooked Rain, Crooked Rain, Wowee Zowee, and Brighten the Corners.

USオルタナ、ローファイシーンの伝説的バンドであり、2022年には再結成を果たすと翌年2023年には来日ツアーを行うなど、世界はもちろん日本においても数多くのファンを抱えるペイヴメント。最近では伝記映画『Pavements』が発表され、ファンの間では何か動きがあるのではないかと話題になっていたバンドが、その映画のサウンドトラックを〈Matador Records〉からリリース。プロデューサー/編集者であるロバート・グリーンとバンドによって編集され、映画のさまざまな要素──セリフの断片、アカデミー賞を狙ったようなフェイク伝記映画『Range Life』のシーン、ジュークボックス・ミュージカル『Slanted! Enchanted!』のキャスト録音、さらに2021年の再結成ツアーからのライヴおよびリハーサル音源──をまとめ上げている。フルバンドによる演奏は、『Crooked Rain, Crooked Rain』『Wowee Zowee』『Brighten the Corners』といったペイヴメントの名作を手がけたブライス・ゴーギンがミックスを担当した。
