This is the first DVD release of Shimura Ken's unique comedy program with NHK. For almost half a century, comedian Shimura Ken has been pursuing laughter in the heart of television. Shimura Ken broke new ground with "My Neighbor Shimura," his first NHK comedy program. Without any of the flashy make-up and extreme direction that he is known for, Shimura plays an "ordinary guy who could be anywhere" with his real face. The comical depictions of human relationships at home and at work are full of great sitcoms that will make you giggle and laugh. The show is packed with highlights, such as the splendid performances by talented actors. Directed by Teruyuki Yoshida, who also directed "Salaryman NEO" and the morning dramas "Amachan" and "Yale.
