今から70年前の12月8日、日本の真珠湾攻撃から太平洋戦争は始まった。その時、仲間とともに死を覚悟して戦場へ向かい、ただひとり生き残った男がいた。男は捕虜第一号となり、死んだ仲間たちは軍神となった・・・。――昭和16年、日米の緊張が高まるなか、特殊潜航艇甲標的搭乗員に選ばれた酒巻和男少尉は、愛媛県の三机で岩佐大尉のもとで仲間たちと共に訓練に励んでいた。昭和16年12月7日、真珠湾から10海里の地点で伊号潜水艦から発進した甲標的は、2艇のみ真珠湾潜入に成功したが、結局戦果をあげることはできなかった。全艇帰還せず9名が戦死。ただひとり酒巻少尉だけが生き残り、太平洋戦争における捕虜第一号となった。大本営は岩佐大尉以下9名の戦死者を英雄として発表し、マスコミは彼らを「九軍神」と讃えた一方、捕虜第一号となった酒巻少尉は、捕虜になった為に日本国内ではその存在を一切抹消された。酒巻少尉はアメリカ国内の収容所で捕虜生活を続けるうちに、なぜ自分だけが生き残ったのか生かされた自分は何をすべきなのかを考えていく。2011年12月10日(土) NHK総合にて放送。 リーフレット封入。
