彼は、病院を・・・最愛のひとたちを救うことができるのか・・・!? 全国の地方都市が直面する医療崩壊の危機。北海道にある破綻寸前の公的病院を舞台に、医療の原点を目指し、奮闘し成長していく青年医師の1年を、地元の女性との純粋な愛のゆくえを織り交ぜながら描く。――北海道の海沿いにある極北市。財政難にあえぎ、医師が今中(瑛太)ひとりになった極北市民病院に、再建請負人・世良(小林薫)が院長として赴任し、赤字削減のため、入院病棟の閉鎖、緊急患者受け入れの拒否の方針を打ち出す。今中は恋人・梢(加藤あい)の祖父・彰吾(高橋昌也)に退院を促す役目を押し付けられ、実は梢が世良の娘と知り驚く。そんな中、市民病院に来た田所(徳井優)が後に死亡したのは、世良の診療拒否が原因ではないか、と報道され騒ぎとなる。解説書(8P予定)封入。
