A miracle cover of Southern All Stars is finally released on analog! Among the many works of Southern All Stars, the classic song "Itoshi no Ellie," loved across generations, is covered in English lyrics by music scene legend Ray Charles, and it becomes a deeply appealing track highlighting Ray's warm and familiar voice, known for winning 18 Grammy Awards and for his performance in "We Are the World," originally released in 1989 as a Suntory commercial song, produced by Jerry Hey who is known for his work with Quincy Jones, Ray's vocal recording is carried out at Record Plant Studio in New York, also used by John Lennon, at the time it is released only on CD and a non-commercial 7-inch record is produced for promotion, and now it is finally officially released, released on June 10, the anniversary of Ray Charles' death.

サザンオールスターズのミラクル・カヴァーが遂にアナログ・リリース! サザンオールスターズの数ある作品の中でも、世代を超えて愛され続ける名曲中の名曲「いとしのエリー」を、ミュージックシーンのレジェンド、レイ・チャールズが英語詞でカヴァー。グラミーを18回受賞、「ウィ・アー・ザ・ワールド」の名唱でもおなじみの、レイの暖かく人懐っこい歌声が映える、大変味わい深い魅力溢れる1曲となっている。元々はサントリーのCMソングとして1989年に発表されたナンバーで、プロデュースはクインシー・ジョーンズとの仕事で名高いジェリー・ヘイ。レイのヴォーカルのレコーディングは、ジョン・レノンも愛用していたニューヨークのレコードプラントスタジオで行われた。当時、CDのみの発売で、プロモーション用に非売品7inchレコードが作成されていたが、このほど遂に正規リリース。レイ・チャールズの命日である6月10日にリリース。
