The hair is extremely soft on this brush and I love using for blush/bronzer. Softness is like squirrel, but better at blending out powders than squirrel brush, and more economical. Well worth purchase as can also use creams if you wish to without damaging the brush. I think that the handle is balanced and beautiful. Bought this together with Chikuhodo GSN eye brushes, as was drawn to beautiful light coloured handles - they all look great together even though not a set.

The description of this brush is accurate, it is on the smaller size, so perfect for highlight, contour and blush. The brush I got is extremely soft (takumi series soft... not quite hakuhodo soft). I don't love the handle, but the performance and feel of the bristles make up for it. It's going to be a work horse in my brush arsenal.

I bought the whole Alba series when CdJapan had the 20% bonus point. I already had the pink foundation brush, also made of saikoho, which I love. But the hair used for this series it's completely different. It's dry and prickly, doesn't seem like saikoho at all.
