The head of the brush has many layers of hair which can pick up powder easily. The brush could be used for loose or pressed powder and I love the result. Fibers have several shades of brown, which mimic animal hair very well. It took two days to dry completely after washing. I used it on my face/medial forearm and compared it with gray squirrel, silver fox, golden fox, white squirrel, red squirrel. The softness and smoothness are very similar to gray squirrel, fox hair.
