[Machine Translation] Placebo's long-awaited seventh studio album! Placebo is a rock band formed in London, U.K. by Brian Molko (g) and Stefan Olsdal (b). Placeboの待望の7枚目のスタジオ・アルバム! Brian Molko (g)とStefan Olsdal (b)を中心に英国ロンドンで結成されたロック・バンドPlacebo。1996年に『Placebo』でデビュー。当時はいわゆる“ブリット・ポップ”最盛期であったが、Placeboはグラム・ロック、ゴシック・ロックの要素をふんだんに取り入れた独自のサウンドを追求し、流行とは一線を画すストイックな姿勢があくまでもロックにこだわるファンたちによって熱烈に支持されている。アルバムとしては、2010年の『Battle for the Sun (the Redux)』以来、となる待望の新作 (昨年に新曲5曲を収録したEPはリリース)。収録楽曲の詳細は不明ながら、プロデューサーにはU2、Paul McCartney、Red Hot Chilli Peppers、McFly等の作品で知られるレコーディング・エンジニア/プロデューサー、Adam Nobleを起用し、昨年から今年にかけてロンドンのRAKスタジオで行われた模様。DVDを追加収録したデジパック仕様の限定デラックス盤も同時発売。
