[Machine Translation] Death Cab's 7th album "Cause and Keyes" is finally completed after 3 years! This is Death Cab's seventh album in three years since 2008's "Narrow Stairs". The album was produced by Chris Walla, the band's guitarist, and mixed by Alan Maulder, known for his work with U2, Nine Inch Nails, and The Killers. The new album, which was recorded in Los Angeles, San Francisco, Seattle, Vancouver, and other cities, is "not a guitar-based album, but a Brian Eno-esque album," according to the band members. The band members cite Brian Eno's "Another Green World" as the inspiration for the new album. The first single from the album, "You're a Tourist," was the first ever video clip to be shot in "one-shot production" and broadcast live! The video was directed by video director Tim Nakkasi (TV on the Radio, OK Go, Elvis Costello, Radiohead) and conceptualized by Aaron Stewart-Ann.

デス・キャブの約3年ぶり7thアルバム『コーズ・アンド・キーズ』が遂に完成! デス・キャブの2008年『ナロー・ステアーズ』以来、約3年ぶり、通算7枚目となるニュー・アルバム。アルバムのプロデュースはバンドのギタリストでもあるクリス・ウォラが、ミックスはU2、ナイン・インチ・ネイルズ、キラーズ等との仕事で知られているアラン・モールダーが手がけている。ロサンゼルス、サンフランシスコ、シアトル、バンクーバー等、さまざまな都市でレコーディングが行なわれたという新作は「ギターをベースにしたアルバムではなく、ブライアン・イーノっぽい」とメンバー。今回の作品のインスピレーションとなった作品として、ブライアン・イーノの『アナザー・グリーン・ワールド』を挙げている。アルバムの1stシングル「ユー・アー・ア・ツーリスト」は、そのビデオ・クリップが、「1発本番撮り」で撮影しながら、それが生中継されるという史上初のビデオ! このビデオは、映像ディレクターであるティム・ナッカシ(TV オン・ザ・レディオ、OK ゴー、エルヴィス・コステロ、レディオヘッド)を監督に迎え、コンセプトをアーロン・スチュワート・アンが手掛けた。
