2006年の結成以来、ロスキャン印ともいえる胸キュン・サウンドとユニークな歌詞でこれまで発表してきた5枚のオリジナル・アルバムは全て国内外の媒体で高い評価を獲得。ここ日本でも来日公演を複数回行い、人気を博しているロス・キャンペシーノス!。そんな彼らが、前作『ノー・ブルーズ』以来、約3年ぶりの新作『シック・シーンズ』を来年2月にリリースすることを発表。アルバムは長年のコラボレーターであるジョン・グッドマンソン (ブロンド・レッドヘッド、デス・キャブ・フォー・キューティ他)と、ギター&ボーカルのトムと共にポルトガルのフリダオにてユーロ 2016の真っ只中レコーディングされた。ミキサーにはジミー・ロバートソン (ハイム、フォールズ、ジェイミーT、LCD サウンドシステム)、マスターにはグレッグ・カルビ (ボン・イヴェール、アラバマ・シェイクス、ノラ・ジョーンズ)が名を連ねている。
