Crosseyed Heart [Import Disc]

[Machine Translation] The Rolling Stones guitarist Keith Richards' third solo album in 23 years! This latest solo album is the culmination of Keith's music and career, and is truly a collection of his entire life! Produced by Keith and his old friend Steve Jordan. Included are songs he co-wrote/duetted with Norah Jones! The Rolling Stones guitarist Keith Richards' third solo album in 23 years, "Crossed Eyed Hearts," will be released simultaneously worldwide by Virgin EMI. Keith Richards, an original member of the Rolling Stones, has been active with the Stones for more than half a century and released his first solo album "Talk Is Cheap" in 1988. After releasing the best album "GRRRR!" in 2012 to commemorate the 50th anniversary of the band's founding, the band embarked on a large-scale world tour, including a visit to Japan from late February to early March of last year. This year, in conjunction with the release of an upgraded version of the 1971 classic "Sticky Fingers," the band will begin a U.S. tour called the "ZIP CODE" tour on May 24 in San Diego, California, U.S.A. In between these tours, Keith completed "Cross Eyed Heart," his first solo album in 23 years and his third in total. Keith co-wrote most of the songs on this album, either alone or with his old friend Steve Jordan. Keith plays electric and acoustic guitars, bass, piano, and vocals on the album, and his first single, "Trouble," released on July 17, is a taut guitar-based rock number, again featuring electric and acoustic guitars, bass, lead and backing vocals. Keith and Steve Jordan provide lead and backing vocals. The first single, co-written and co-produced by Keith and Steve Jordan, features Jordan on drums, Waddy Wachtel on guitar, and backing vocals by Bernard Fowler, who has worked with the Rolling Stones. Other highlights include the country-tinged "Robbed Blind," the reggae-tinged "Love Overdue," and the eponymous "Blues in the Morning," as well as the soulful ballad "Illusion," which he co-wrote and duetted with Norah Jones. Waddy Wachtel, guitarist for the X-Pensive Winos, who also played on his previous solo album, Ivan Neville on keyboards, and Sarah Dash on background vocals, join the band for this album as well. Stax songwriter and keyboardist Spooner Oldham also contributes on "Lovers' Please," pedal steel player Larry Campbell on "Robbed Blind," Aaron Neville on backing vocals on "Nothing on Me," and Keith's close friend, the now deceased Bobby Dash, on vocals. Keith's good friend, the late Bobby Keys, played saxophone on "Amnesia" and "Blues in the Morning". Keith previously released two solo studio albums, Talk is Cheap (1988) and Maine Offender (1992), and a live album, Live at the Hollywood Palladium (December 15, 1988). This is his third original studio solo album in 23 years, after "Maine Offender" in 1992.
