Or rather, they have been covered so much that their essence has been buried. What my band members and I are doing is basically removing the covers. We dug up the essence from the grave and gave it new life," explained Rob Stringer, chairman of Columbia Records in the United States. There are no strings, no overt wind instruments, no background vocals, and none of the other trappings that are common on standard ballad albums. Instead, Bob breathes new life into these songs and gives them meaning today. Bob Dylan's five recent studio recordings have been acclaimed as the best of his storied career and have achieved new levels of commercial success and critical acclaim. His last album, 2012's "Tempest," reached the Top 5 in 14 countries upon its release. From March 31 to April 23, 2014, Dylan toured Japan for a total of 17 shows, showing Japanese fans the "newest" Bob Dylan, free of nostalgia. The lead song from the new album, "Full Moon," was released on April 23. The lead track "Full Moon And Empty Arms" from this album has already been released in May 2014, showing the richness of this album.
