"While letting the nuances of fluctuating emotions speak through rich 'riffs, ' the music soars into a new world that transcends genres. Deserving of the title 'culmination, ' this album condenses the respectful pulse of her soul, having sublimated all of her musical influences." Masanori Ito

[Album Description]
Hitomi Nishiyama's 20th-anniversary debut album. Following *Dot* (2023) and *Echo* (2024), this album features a rich ensemble of piano trio and orchestra. It includes a total of eight tracks, such as the new songs "Black Water" and "Relief #1," which were created with heavy metal as their foundation. Repeating riffs layer upon one another in a multi-layered fashion, harmonizing in tone and building up the ensemble. Hitomi Nishiyama's career, which began with a passion for European jazz, has culminated in this album, *Layer*, after 20 years of diverse activities, including her work with a piano trio and the heavy metal project NHORHM. Recorded live in front of an audience in November 2025 at Koen-dori Classics. The recording was made with spatial audio support, capturing a tight ensemble performance that radiates warmth.
