Tsubaki Factory Fukuda Marin Photobook: MARINE

Tsubaki Factory's Marin Fukuda releases her first photo book "MARINE" on October 18, her 21st birthday. Shot across her home prefecture of Nagasaki, including Hasami Town where she serves as a hometown ambassador, the book captures her absolute clarity, pure gaze, and dignified presence. Through the lens, a cinematic and artistic worldview emerges, complemented by monologues reflecting on her memories of home. With chief editor Akiko Kikuchi, photography by Kenshu Shintsubo, styling by Daisuke Iga, hair and makeup by Hiromi Chinone, and art direction by Hideyuki Saitowo, this is a special book created by top creators from various fields. When the offer came, I briefly wondered if I was the right choice, but knowing I could work with Akiko Kikuchi and her trusted team made me want to take on the challenge, and I said yes. Surrounded by the kindness of the staff, I was able to relax and enjoy shooting in the nostalgic scenery of my hometown, Nagasaki, including Hasami Town and churches in Nagasaki City. The experience brought back many precious memories from my childhood and school days. This book also shows the original me, who knew nothing of makeup or nails.
