Description

[Machine Translation] One day, as a high school student, I picked up a paperback book at the hospital. The title of the book was ( Kyoyo Bunko ). It was a secret diary written by my classmate Sakura Yamauchi. In it, it is written that she has only a few days left to live due to a pancreatic disease. After reading this book, you will surely be moved to tears by the title. A best-selling coming-of-age novel about ("me without a name") and ("her without a daily life")!

This book really attracted my atention 5

The moment I did read that title I thought it would be a very fantastic history. I really suggest this book for all the people who like a casual history with a lot of feelings.

Glad I choose to read this novel. 5

I don’t usually read romance/slice of life novels very often. Rather I rarely do. Though, this time, I broke this habit of mine by buying this book, ‘I want to eat your pancreas”, by sheer curiosity, wondering about the reason behind it being one of the best sellers of its year. The result? I understood that reason very well to the point of shedding a few tears. This novel was absolutely magnificent. Besides its easy-pacing that suited my preference, I think the most important element that made it outstanding was the writing. Like the way the protagonist is called by his surroundings implying their impressions and feelings towards him, and how it was used to describe the change of these feelings throughout time or the wonderful idiomatic title-drop used at the very end of the story. Long story short, I felt quite satisfied after finishing this book, and I’m glad I choose to read it.
