Issues of Nanao are a treat for who likes kimonos. This is a "women's magazine" that comes complete with fashion pages, shopping tips, how to wear a kimono, wear a obi and so forth, but seen from a unique, traditional point of view. The lay out is sober and uncluttered. The magazine is large, with good quality paper, feeting for good quality content. The pictures beautiful, the references to classic japanese culture abounds. In this issue also an article about sumo wrestlers. What a pleasure to have this issue in my hands ! One more issue that I will find myself still pulling out of the bookshelf in a few months for some escapism and daydreaming of Japan.
