[Machine Translation] Live performance of the masterpieces "Open to Love" and "Alone, Again"! Revived after more than half a century! In March, the first Japanese-language biography of Paul Bley, "Paul Bley: In Search of the Moment of Improvisation" (written by Ken Hiruma), was published, and the 10-year anniversary of his death in 2026 will be celebrated. The previously unreleased duo work he left in 1973 with Arild Andersen, the most important bassist still active in the scene, has been unearthed. The performance of that night has been reproduced as faithfully as possible to relive Paul's style of freely playing over songs and the concert of that night. The songs on the album are mainly those of Carla Bley and Arnett Peacock, with whom Paul shared his life and music, as well as masterpieces by Mingus, Ornette, and Gershwin, spun with the duo's sensitive approach.
