Live At Rockpalast 1977 [CD+DVD]

[Machine Translation] This CD+DVD set includes a concert in Essen, Germany in July 1977 by Roger McGuinn, formerly of The Byrds. The concert was hosted by the German TV program "Rockpalast" and is considered one of the best performances in the program's long history. The concert was held in conjunction with the release of his fifth solo album "Thunderbirds" in March of the same year, and the backing band was also named Thunderbirds, featuring Rick Vito (g), Greg Thomas (ds), and Charlie Harrison (b, vo), all members of the album. 元バーズのロジャー・マッギンが1977年7月ドイツのエッセンで行ったコンサートを収録したCD+DVDセット。ドイツのTV番組『ロックパラスト』主催のコンサートで番組の長い歴史の中でも屈指の名演と言われている伝説のパフォーマンス! 同年3月に発表した5作目のソロ・アルバム『サンダーバード』発表に合わせたコンサートでバック・バンドもサンダーバードと名付けられたアルバム参加メンバーだったリック・ヴィトー (g)、グレッグ・トーマス (ds)、チャーリー・ハリソン (b, vo)を従えてのライヴで『サンダーバード』からはトム・ペティの「アメリカン・ガール」、ボブ・ディランの「ゴールデン・ルーム」、このコンサートのオープニング・アクトだったリトル・フィートのサム・クレイトンが飛び入り参加した「ディキシー・ハイウェイ」、そしてバーズの「ラヴァー・オブ・ザ・バイユー」「ミスター・スペースマン」「栗毛の雌馬」「ターン・ターン・ターン」「ミスター・タンブリンマン」「霧の8マイル」など全15曲を収録。
