寒くても、お腹がへっても、手を握っていてくれたらぼくは泣かない――。 実の親子を超えた人間の絆を描く感動のヒューマンドラマ! 観光客で賑わうパリ郊外の世界遺産、ベルサイユ宮殿。その宮殿を取り囲む森には、多くのホームレスたちが棲んでいた。仮小屋を建てて世間から離れ、ひっそりと暮らす男ダミアンもそんな一人。ある日、幼い息子エンゾを連れた若い母親ニーナが森で道に迷い、ダミアンに出会う。はみだし者同士で意気投合した二人は一夜の関係を持つものの、翌朝ニーナはメモ1枚を残し、エンゾを置き去りにして姿を消してしまう。予期せぬ事態に憤るダミアンだったが、寒さと飢えを凌ぎながら残されたエンゾと生活を共にするうちに親子のような情愛が芽生え、心を通わせ合うようになるのだが・・・。
