Piercing Through The Frozen Eternity

[Machine Translation] This is the Japanese debut mini-album by Moonlight Sorcery, a three-piece black metal band from Tampere, Finland. Formed in Finland in 2018, the band released the single "Ice-Vailed Spell" in January 2022, followed by the EP "Piercing Through the Frozen Eternity" the following month in February, which was released digitally on bandcamp. After a great response, the band signed with Milan, Italy-based Avantgarde Music and released the EP "Piercing Through the Frozen Eternity" in physical format. This time, after much negotiation with the label and the band, the EP "Piercing Through the Frozen Eternity" was released as an original Japanese-only compilation with a new song recorded as a bonus track. The music is based on melodic death metal with ethereal keyboards, reminiscent of Finland's own Children of Bodom, with neo-classical metal elements of 80s guitar heroes such as Yngvay Malmsteen and Chris Impellitteri. The band is a new generation metal band featuring fast playing and stylistic beauty.

フィンランドのタンペレ出身の3人組ブラック・メタル・バンド、ムーンライト・ソーサリーの日本デビュー・ミニアルバム。バンドは2018年にフィンランドで結成。2022年1月にシングル「アイス-ヴェイルド・スペル」を発表し、翌月2月にEP『ピアシング・スルー・ザ・フローズン・エターニティー』を、bandcampでデジタル・リリース。大きな反響があったバンドは、イタリアのミラノに本拠地を置くアヴァンギャルド・ミュージックと契約を果たしEP『ピアシング・スルー・ザ・フローズン・エターニティー』をフィジカルでリリース。今回はレーベルやバンドとの交渉を重ね、EP『ピアシング・スルー・ザ・フローズン・エターニティー』にボーナス・トラックとして新曲を録音した日本のみの独自編集盤としてリリース。音楽性は、フィンランド特有のチルドレン・オヴ・ボドムなどを彷彿させる、幽玄なキーボードを中心に置いたメロディック・デス・メタルを基調とし、イングヴェイ・マルムスティーン、クリス・インペリテリを筆頭する80年代ギター・ヒーロー的なネオクラシカル・メタル要素の早弾きと様式美をフィーチュアした新世代メタル・バンド。
