Final Days

[Machine Translation] Alden Organ, one of the leading German metal bands since the 2000s, debuted in 2004 with "TESTIMONIUM A.D." (not released in Japan). Since their debut, the band has been playing brave and dramatic melodic power metal with respect for the German metal bands of the past. They have steadily grown with each album, and in 2018, they made their first visit to Japan for "Evoken Fest" with Nocturnal Lights. This album is their first new album in 4 years since "Gunmen", which was recorded during their first visit to Japan. The album is a concept album with a sci-fi theme, but it is neither too modern nor too verbose, and the brave and dramatic sound of Alden Organ is compacted into a work that can be listened to all at once. It is a work that can be listened to in one fell swoop. Guest musicians include Gus G. (Firewind) and Irva Eriksson (Brothers of Metal). The guest musicians are placed in the middle part of the album, and they add a nice accent to the album. Includes commentary and bilingual lyrics.

2000年代以降のジャーマン・メタルを代表するバンドのひとつ、オルデン・オーガンの7thアルバム。2004年『TESTIMONIUM A.D.』(日本未発売)でデビュー。デビュー当初より、往年のジャーマン・メタル・バンドへのリスペクトを前面に押し出した、勇壮で劇的なメロディック・パワー・メタルをプレイ。アルバム毎に着実に成長した姿を見せ続けた彼らは、2018年にはノクターナル・ライツと共に「Evoken Fest」にて初来日。本作はその初来日公演時の作品『ガンメン』以来、4年ぶりのニュー・アルバムとなる。所属レーベルであるAFM Recordsも「バンドを新たなレベルに引き上げる作品」と評価。SFをテーマとしたコンセプト・アルバムだが、モダンななり過ぎず、冗長になり過ぎず、オルデン・オーガンの勇壮で劇的なサウンドをコンパクトに纏め、一気に聴ける勢いを感じさせる作品となっている。ゲスト・ミュージシャンとしてガス・G (ファイアーウインド)、イルヴァ・エリクソン(ブラザーズ・オブ・メタル)が参加。中盤の聴きどころにゲスト参加曲を配置し、アルバムに良いアクセントを加えている。解説歌詞対訳付。
