Awakening special edition [Limited Release]

The 2-disc analog "Awakening special edition," released in 2022 to commemorate the 40th anniversary of "Awakening," is re-released with a new cutting. This is Hiroshi Sato's fourth original album, released in 1982 after his music activities in Los Angeles, and his first album after moving to Alfa Records. Featuring Canadian female vocalist Wendy Matthews and introducing the then-cutting-edge LinnDrum drum machine, it is a work in which Hiroshi Sato's high-quality sound sense and the atmosphere of the American West Coast are beautifully fused. Its mellow & soulful, borderless sound, which makes you feel none of the inorganic quality of programming, is an eternal masterpiece that transcends generations and still greatly influences many musicians today! Tatsuro Yamashita, Tsunehide Matsuki, and Yuji Toriyama participate as guitarists. Disc 1 contains the 1982 original version. Disc 2 contains the Off Vocal Track and Off SE (wave sounds) Track of the vocal songs, as well as "BLUE AND MOODY MUSIC (WENDY'S VERSION)," added for the first CD release in 1986, and a new version of "IT ISN'T EASY" remixed by Hiroshi Sato himself in 2005. This time, with a new cutting by master craftsman Shigeru Takezawa, Disc 1 is a clear blue vinyl and Disc 2 is an aqua blue vinyl.

『Awakening』発売40周年を記念して2022年に発売された2枚組アナログ盤『Awakening special edition』が新規カッティングで再発売。佐藤博がロサンゼルスでの音楽活動後、1982年に発売した4枚目のオリジナル・アルバムでアルファレコード移籍第1弾アルバム。カナダ人女性ヴォーカリスト: ウェンディ・マシューズをフィーチャー、当時最先端のドラムマシン: リンドラムを導入し、佐藤博のハイ・クオリティなサウンド・センスとアメリカ西海岸の空気感とが見事に融合した作品。打ち込みの無機質さを全く感じさせないメロウ&ソウルフルでボーダレスなサウンドは、世代を超え、今なお数多くのミュージシャンに大きな影響を与える永遠の名盤! 山下達郎、松木恒秀、鳥山雄司がギタリストで参加している。Disc1は1982年のオリジナル・ヴァージョンを収録。Disc2はヴォーカル曲のOff Vocal Track、Off SE (波の音) Track の他、1986年初CD化に際して加えられた「BLUE AND MOODY MUSIC (WENDY'S VERSION)」、2005年に佐藤博自らがリミックスをしたニューヴァージョンの「IT ISN'T EASY」を収録。今回、名匠・武沢茂氏による新カッティングで、Disc1は透明青盤 (クリア・ブルー・ヴァイナル)、Disc2は透明水色盤 (アクア・ブルー・ヴァイナル)となる。
