Includes an original version of "Cosmic Surfin'" from YMO's debut album "Yellow Magic Orchestra." Tatsuro Yamashita presented "Nostalgia of Island" and "Kiska." Shigeru Suzuki also recorded three tropical funky instrumentals. Features Tatsuo Hayashi, Shuichi Murakami, Kenji Takamizu, Nobu Saito, and more. Original release date: May 1, 1978. 180g weight vinyl. Cutting was done by Bernie Grundman.

アイランドミュージックの名盤「PACIFIC」が重量盤アナログで登場! 南太平洋の美しい海をテーマに、細野晴臣、鈴木茂、山下達郎が書き下ろし作品を提供した、Sound Image Series第1作。細野晴臣は南国感溢れた2曲に加え、YMOのデビュー作『イエロー・マジック・オーケストラ』に収めた＜コズミック・サーフィン＞の原曲をこの作品で初披露した。山下達郎はサーフィン系のシエスタ・ミュージックとオールディーズ調のコーラスを織り交ぜたポップ・インストを、メドレーに仕立てた＜ノスタルジア・オブ・アイランド＞、＜キスカ＞では浮遊感溢れるクロスオーバー・サウンドを提示。鈴木茂はトロピカルなファンキー・インストを3曲収録している。その他豪華参加メンバーは、林立夫、村上秀一、高水健司、浜口茂外也、斎藤ノブ、佐藤準、大村憲司、徳武弘文、土岐英史。ジャケット写真は浅井慎平。オリジナル発売日: 1978年5月1日。世界的名匠バーニー・グランドマンのカッティングによる180g重量盤。11/3「レコードの日」対象作品。
