Singer-songwriter Mariko Hamada, known for her stage collaboration "My Last Song" with Kyoko Koizumi and her film and drama music, joins under the name "Mariko Hamada and Lonesome Strings." The A-side "Omohide" is a cover of the late Tsunekichi Suzuki's song known as the opening theme of the TV drama "Shinya Shokudo," with Hamada's vocals adding new depth. The B-side "Nikomi Waltz" covers a song by Shigeto Ueno from the unique group Tsurereko Shachu, praised by artists like Wataru Takada, Yoshio Hayakawa, and Kiyoshiro Imawano. ピーター・バラカン氏も絶賛する桜井芳樹 (Gt)、田村玄一 (Pedal steel,etc)、原さとし (Banjo)、千ヶ崎学 (Cb)による弦・ストリングカルテット、ロンサムストリングス。'98年のデビュー以来数多くのアルバムリリースやライブの他、小泉今日子との共演舞台「マイ・ラスト・ソング」や映画音楽、ドラマ挿入歌などで全国にファンを持つ松江在住のシンガーソングライター、浜田真理子『浜田真理子とロンサムストリングス』名義による待望の初作品をダブルサイダー7インチシングルでリリース。「思ひで」は2020年に逝去したシンガーソングライター鈴木常吉のカバーでTVドラマ「深夜食堂」のオープニングとしても知られるこの曲を浜田真理子の歌唱がより味わい深く拡げている。「煮込みワルツ」は一度聴いたら忘れない強烈なオリジナリティで高田渡や早川義夫、忌野清志郎らにも称賛された超個性派ユニット『つれれこ社中』のメンバーだった上野茂人作品のカバー。端唄俗曲の流れを感じさせるユニークな楽曲を現代性とノスタルジーが共存するロンサムストリングスのアンサンブルでカバー。
