I did not want to accept her, but she was certainly hidden within me. On this album, for the first time, I was able to turn that weakness, just as it is, into music, without fear. I packed in many hopeful songs and songs that brighten everyday life. But just as much, the other me who kept whispering I have to try harder and I have to be stronger also lives within this album. The moment I stopped ignoring that voice, faced it, and set it free, that, for me, was self. The me who headed toward the light and the me I could never show anyone were both my true self.
