極北を目指すオルタナティヴアイドルをコンセプトに活動する、5人組アイドルグループ・RAYが、四季をテーマにした4つの楽曲で構成されたCD EPをリリース。ハタユウスケ (cruyff in the bedroom)制作の「春なんてずっと来なけりゃいいのに」、Couple提供の「アップサイドダウン」、みきれちゃんによる「sunset hurts」、「冬の手紙、末筆」と、RAYではお馴染みの制作陣が並んだ。全編RAYのキャッチフレーズであるシューゲイズのモチーフで統一されながらも、バラエティに富んだ振り幅の広さも表現する作品に仕上がっている。「冬の手紙、末筆」は、現在配信中の楽曲の最終形態となる。アイドルという文化を高らかに掲げ示しながらも、独自の道を突き進むRAYの挑戦は続く。
