Caveat - this is an anime OST so it doesn't have the most original music and it does repeat a few themes in a variety of contexts. However, the music is quite endearing and encompasses a wide range of styles from "sleazy cabaret" to rock to traditional japanese festival styles. There are only two vocal tracks (the OP/ED) and both are quite listenable. The first has a "cabaret jazz naughty" quality to it and the last is just a nice romantic ballad sound. I have two favorite track groups, one being a waltz theme that is repeated in several styles but the other being traditional japanese musical styles. There are only a few "background music" tracks which aren't really tunes --- most of the pieces are stand alone pieces. I also like the "rock" tunes (themes for the "tough girl" character) because they don't wimp out like a lot of jpop "rock" does. All in all, I consider this one of my favorite anime OST CDs with a higher ratio of relistenable tracks than most. I can listen to the Petopetosan CD and only need to hit the FastForward button only few times. Only my copy of the Azumanga Daioh OST comes close. Definite thumbs up here.
