Based on one of the most popular classic Manga ever from Weekly Shonen Magazine, it's about the life of a legendary baseball player named Hoshi. In these earliest episodes, Hoshi's 'junior highschool' years are depicted, adapted quite faithfully from the original Manga with some interesting additional subplots such as the arrival of a new rival from Hawaii, or the incident of the stolen money. This 3-disc set contains episodes 1 thru 18 (out of all 52).
