MUGWUMPS [Limited Release]

[Machine Translation] MUGWUMPS, now in its 20th year of existence, releases its first new album in 14 years. Starting from punk, MUGWUMPS has absorbed and sublimated 90's alternative music and crystallized it into a new original sound through their filter. This album was produced based on the concept of recording the best of what the band can do at the moment and recording the music they love, and it contains 11 songs that give a sense of their current sound. The songs are straightforward and pop-oriented, with a rich variety of ups and downs and slow and fast changes woven into the mix. Starting from the punk music of the time they listened to, they sublimated the high-quality musical factors they absorbed from their predecessors in the UK and the U.S. in the 1990s through the filter of MUGWUMPS to create the MUGWUMPS sound of today. The fresh and one-of-a-kind sound that is unique to the current Japanese indie scene is a must-listen not only for discerning listeners with an ear for Western music, but also for Japanese indie rock fans who have not been exposed to many foreign rock bands. All the songs have a nostalgic yet unknown pop sound, and the music scene of the time has changed many times. The album is now completed.
