Description

One of the last, and most deeply remembered works of the silent film era, "Die Buchse Der Pandora (Pandora's Box)" stands as a triumph of filmmaking with its beautiful cinematography and extensive use of actions and acting (instead of cards) to portray the plot. Fimed in Weimer Republic era Germany, "Pandora's Box" tells the complex tale of a harsh man-eater, from her start in high-society to her awkward decline and sad, bitter end as she meets and humbles one man after another. Directed by G.W. Pabst and starring Louise Brooks.
