椎名誠の原作を豪華キャストで映画化! 南の果ての小さな島。そこは、不幸のどん底にいた男がたどり着いた場所。終点の先のそのまた先で、彼が見つけた新しい人生とは? 阿部サダヲ、永山絢斗、貫地谷しほり、佐々木希出演。監督は本作が映画監督デビューとなる新星・細川徹。コントユニット"男子はだまってなさいよ!"の主宰をつとめ、2000年代のシティボーイズ・ライブで作・演出を担当、最近では人気アニメ「しろくまカフェ」のシリーズ構成を務めるなど人気を博してきた若手実力派が、自らの脚色で本作に息を吹き込む。――リストラと離婚が同時にやってきた佐々木は、唐突に気分転換をと思い立ち南の果てまで来てしまった。島に着いたその日に4人組のキャンプ生活者と出会い、一瞬にして「ここはパラダイスだ!」と有頂天に。悩みを打ち明け、癒され、飲み交わすビールは人生最高の味だった。しかし酒盛りに酔い潰れた翌日、佐々木の持ち物の一切合財と共に4人組は忽然と姿を消してしまう。いよいよ全てを失い、途方に暮れる佐々木のもとに、都会生活に疲れて島を訪れた若者オッコチ、そして関西娘2人組のアパとキミが加わって、4人の奇妙な海浜生活が始まった・・・。■サントラCD、特典DVD(メイキング、テレビ東京放送「男5人! 無人島ぶらり旅」7月8日放送の公開前1時間特番 収録)、24Pブックレット封入。デジパック仕様、BOX付。
