kocorono (English Subtitles) Remastered Edition

Features English subtitles. bloodthirsty butchers documentary film reasserted and released on blu-ray for the first time (DVD re-release). "kocorono" is a film about the miracle of the band's continued existence, a special community of destiny made up of individuals who have chosen to leave and devote themselves to rock music. Directed by Kawaguchi Jun of "77BOADRUM" (2008) and "Yamaguchi Fujio: Minagoroshi no Ballad" (2014). The Title of the film is named after Butchers' masterpiece that describes the mental landscape of 11 months beginning with "February" and ending with "December. For this re-release, the director supervised a grading process that included color correction. The material used for this re-release is completely new and different from the material used for the original release 10 years ago.

そして、音が走り続ける―。bloodthirsty butchersドキュメンタリー映画、リマスターを経て初ブルーレイ化 (DVD再発売)。『kocorono』は、退路を断ち、ロックに身を捧げることを選択した個によって成り立つ特別な運命共同体=バンドの、存在し続けることの奇跡を描いた映画。監督は『77BOADRUM』 (2008)『山口冨士夫/皆殺しのバラード』 (2014)の川口潤。バンド内に起きている紛れもない不協和音に正面から向き合い、張り詰めた緊張感をカメラにおさめた。被写体であるバンドを美化するものでもなく、音楽のプロモーションのためのものでもなく、さらには熱狂的なファンに向けたものでもない『kocorono』は映画評論家から日本の音楽ドキュメンタリーの在り方の分岐点となった作品と評されるなど、その作品の独立性が支持された。映画のタイトルは、「2月」で始まり「12月」で終わる11か月の心象風景を綴ったブッチャーズの代表作、アルバム『kocorono』 (1996年作品)から。この度の再発売では、監督監修のもと色補正などを行うグレーディング作業を実施。上映されるフィルム作品に近い質感を得るためのリマスターが行われたまったく新しいマスターを使用。10年前のリリース時とはまったく異なる新たな素材となっている。 ――唐突にメンバー同士の激しい言葉の応酬により幕を開ける映画。1986年札幌で結成以来、日本屈指のロックバンドとして君臨し続けたbloodthirsty butchers (ブッチャーズ)は、だからこそ産まれる複雑な人間模様や長い活動期間特有の危うい不均衡に立っていた。吉村秀樹という圧倒的で絶対的な存在を中心に、常に揺れ動くメンバーの思い、あたかも倒れそうな独楽の様になりながらも回り続けるバンド。拾い集められたメンバーそれぞれの吐露は、一方で語られる彼らの偉大さや尊敬を自ら否定していく。
