[Machine Translation] [King Vintage Jazz Collector's Edition] In May 1962, Hideo Shiraki visited the United States, the home of jazz, and performed with Horace Silver and Kenny Dorham. This masterpiece, recorded after his return to the U.S., shows his growth in every detail. The quintet, which is led by the golden trio with Hachiro Kurita (b) and Yuzuru Sera (p), is joined by Akira Fukuhara on valve trombone, and covers Horace Silver's masterpieces such as "Senor Blues," "Doing the Thing," and "Swinging the Samba" in vivid style. This is one of the strongest funky albums in the history of Japanese jazz.

[キング・ヴィンテージ・ジャズ・コレクターズ・エディション] 1962年5月、ジャズの本場アメリカを訪れ、ホレス・シルヴァーやケニー・ドーハムらと夢の共演を果たした白木秀雄。帰国後に録音した本作は、その成長ぶりを余すことなく伝える傑作。栗田八郎 (b) 、世良譲 (p) との黄金トリオを軸とするクインテットに福原彰のヴァルブ・トロンボーンを交え、「セニョール・ブルース」「ドゥーイング・ザ・シング」「スウィンギング・ザ・サンバ」など、ホレス・シルヴァーの名曲を鮮やかにカヴァー。日本ジャズ史上においても最強のファンキー・アルバム。
