落語家・林家しん平が描く本物の落語映画!! 史上初となる(社)落語協会の全面バックアップが実現! 小六役にはNHK大河ドラマ「龍馬伝」を始め俳優としての活躍も目覚ましいピエール瀧、その妻・葵には「理想のおカミさん像!」と称された田畑智子。春木真人役に抜擢されたのは、入門8年目となる二ツ目の落語家・柳家わさび。ほのぼのと暖かい小六夫婦の愛情に包まれ、多くの落語家たちに叱咤激励されながら、一人前の落語家へと成長していく小春の視線を通じて、"笑いと涙に包まれた人生賛歌"を大きな感動とともに味わえる映画が誕生した。東京に残る4軒の寄席(上野鈴本演芸場、新宿末廣亭、浅草演芸ホール、池袋演芸場)の協力により、楽屋も含め全寄席での撮影が行われ、着物、小道具、お囃子に至るまですべてが本物であり、寄席の高座や楽屋風景、芸人同士のやりとりや独特な師弟関係なども忠実に再現。高座着への着替えシーンなど所作の美しさも必見。柳家権太楼、柳家喬太郎、春風亭小朝、隅田川馬石など総勢40名を超える現役人気落語家が総出演! ――引っ込み思案な若者・春木真人は、たまたま寄席で聴いた落語に惹かれ、今戸家小六師匠に弟子入り志願する。落語界では芸も地位もある小六だが、普段はノホホンとした頼りない亭主。明るくしっかり者の女房・葵がいなくては、夜も日も明けぬ愛妻家だ。小六宅に住み込みで働き始めた真人は、前座・今戸家小春という名前を貰い、晴れて落語家の世界の一員となるが、そこには悲喜こもごもの出来事が待ち受けていた・・・。■パンフレット(40Pリサイズ)。
