2001月5月よりNHK-BS「衛星アニメ劇場」内で大好評のうちオンエアを終了した「学園戦記ムリョウ」、DVDボックス発売!! 1話から26話を収録した本編ディスク6枚と、特典ディスクの計7組。特典ディスクには「よりぬきムリョウさん Girls Selection～学園戦記ムリョウ特別編～・前半総集編」を収録予定で、いつもの始のナレーションと違い、那由多の心情が込められたナレーションで前半部分を振り返った内容となる予定。現在放送中の「宇宙のステルヴィア」の監督・構成を担当している佐藤竜雄が原作・監督・シリーズ構成を務め、キャラクターデザイン・総作画監督には劇場版「スレイヤーズ」にて総作画監督を務めた吉松孝博を、音楽には「ルパン三世」で有名な巨匠・大野雄二を迎え、良質な作品に仕上がっている。決して廃れることのない人間ドラマを描いた作品。
