東大卒、異端の琴奏者、佐藤康子の2ndアルバム。本作品は、アルバムタイトル『sotari/素たり』のコンセプトに沿う形で、通常のCD録音とは異なる環境での収録を敢行。あえて外部音が入るよう、山奥の遮音性の少ないホールにて録音を行い、様々な環境音(虫の声/風のささやき/木の軋む音)を自然に取り込む形の作品となった。また、本作品に向けて作曲された佐藤康子の作品性はそのままに、本人の無垢さを彷彿させる歌声も収録された。箏の音楽性を拡張する一枚。
