New Beginning [Love Reon Edition]

Reon Niihama, who appears at the "NHK Kohaku Uta Gassen" for the second consecutive year and receives the Excellence Award at the "Japan Record Awards" in 2025, releases his 1st EP in April. Since his debut, he has set the major goal of appearing at the "NHK Kohaku Uta Gassen", and even after achieving it, his goal for this year remains being unique while continuing new challenges every year. The title of this work not only means "a new beginning" but also carries his strong determination to step into a one-of-a-kind new challenge that only he can do, along with a message of heartfelt encouragement for everyone's new start. The included song "LOVE Shinai?" is a track newly written by Kocchi no Kento, and following the previous work "Fun! Fun! Fun!", it is created with the wish to make everyone smile and becomes a happy song that lifts the listener's spirits just by listening. After their first appearance at the "NHK Kohaku Uta Gassen" in 2024, the two deepen their friendship by guest appearing on each other's regular radio programs, and in the spring of 2025 they release a collaboration video on YouTube, finally realizing their long-held wish to create music together. In addition, "Iiwake Nainaa", currently airing on NHK "Minna no Uta", receives responses on social media after broadcast and is decided to be included on CD. Other included songs are announced at a later date. The Love Reon Edition includes "Ai Datte, Koi Datte! Uchinuite!" as a B-side track.

2年連続『NHK紅白歌合戦』に出場し、2025年は『日本レコード大賞』で「優秀作品賞」を受賞してメディアの露出が急増している新浜レオンが、4月に自身初となる1stEPをリリース。デビュー時から『NHK紅白歌合戦』に出場するという大きな夢を掲げ、その夢が叶った今も満足する事なく毎年新たな挑戦をし続けている新浜の今年の目標は"唯一無二"。本作のタイトルは単に"新たな始まり"と意味するだけでなく、"自分にしかできない唯一無二の新たな挑戦へと踏み出す"自身の強い決意と、聴く人全ての方に"新しい門出に心からのエールを!"というメッセージを込めて付けられている。収録曲「LOVE しない?」は、なんと"こっちのけんと"が書き下ろした1曲!「みんなを笑顔にしたい」という想いを大事に制作された今作は、前作の「Fun! Fun! Fun!」に続き、聴くだけで元気が湧いてくるハッピーな楽曲になっている。2024年の『NHK紅白歌合戦』で初出場を機に、互いのレギュラーラジオ番組へゲスト出演し合うなど親交を深めてきた二人。2025年春にはYouTubeでコラボ動画を公開し、以前から抱いていた「いつか一緒に楽曲を制作したい」という二人の想いが、ついに今回形となった。そしてNHK「みんなのうた」で現在オンエア中の「言い訳ナイナー」は、オンエア後にSNSでの反響がありCDに収録されることが決定。他の収録楽曲は後日発表となる。ラブレオン盤にはカップリングに愛だって、恋だって! 撃ち抜いて! を収録。
