Description

The streamlines of the wind and the swaying of plants. Water welling up from the minerals of the forest flows toward the sea. It fills the far reaches of the boundary between sea and sky. Sonic scenery woven from piano and 17-string koto. This 14th work by ironomi, who perform under the concept of "ringing the fruits of the seasons in their many colors," is a soundscape at the far edge of the boundary between sea and sky, improvisationally spun from a piano like the sparkle of water and stars in the cycle of all creation, and the resonance of a 17-string koto reminiscent of the warmth of forest trees and minerals. It blends into the scenery of many seasons, such as a moment with the soft morning sun and a refreshing breeze, and the madder-red sky of dusk that is somehow full of wistfulness.
